Here are the results from the survey + a look at what the top post of last year was:
1. What’s your favorite color?
The top three favorite colors were: pink, blue, and purple! If you’re looking for more color inspiration, be sure to check out the
2. What is your favorite type of blog post?
DIYS for the home, simple craft projects, and organization tips were definitely a crowd favorite this year! I’ll be focusing a majority of content on those three, while finding ways to bring in the others as well. I think Ryan and I will be looking for a new apartment this year (while rent is cheaper in NYC), and so I’m sure I’ll have plenty of home decor DIYS to go around!
3. Have you ever made a project from the blog?
It’s still so amazing to me that anyone 1. reads my blog and that 2. you’re actually recreating the projects I share! My goal is to increase how many of you will say yes for the 2022 reader survey.
4. What type of content do you like?
5. What do you want to see MORE of on The Crafted Life?
The top three answers for this were: DIYS + crafts, NYC, behind the scenes.
I’m hoping that I’m able to regain some of my creativity this year, because for a majority of 2020 it was difficult to do anything. As some of you saw on Stories the other day, I didn’t even open magazines that I subscribed to because that alone felt like too much. I would absolutely love to show you more of NYC– maybe a city guide of my favorite restaurants, shops, and more. Let me know if there’s something specific you want to see. I typically share a BTS look at shoots and more on Stories, but I’ll try to weave a bit more of that into the blog as well.
6. What do you want to see LESS of on The Crafted Life?
Let me just say that y’all are so damn wonderful. The comments in this section made me feel so nice, so THANK YOU! The one answer to this questions that I see a few times was: politics. I can understand the need to escape from all the news all the time, the world is truly an overwhelming place. But I think it’s important to address that “tuning politics out” is one of great privilege and one that I won’t be conforming to. My goal through this blog and in life is to create joy. Sometimes that might look like a colorful DIY project, other times it might look like activism.
So we’re going to make cute things, have colorful homes, and work together towards meaningful change through action and dialogue because there’s a lot of work to be done!
7. And for the most popular post of 2020 (according to pageviews) wassss…..
And so that’s it for the reader survey! Thank you again for sharing your feedback + insight with me and for continuing to be here throughout the years. I’m excited to put your thoughts into my editorial calendar and get started planning content that I’ll share soon!
PS– the winner for the $50 to my shop raffle has been notified via email!
