Have you checked out the major Banksy exhibition in the heart of Covent Garden? If not, then time’s running out. With the exhibition due to pack up and go on tour from 22 May 2022, there’s not long left to see a diverse selection of the enigmatic artist’s work.

You might not know exactly who Banksy is, but you know his work. Subversive, pointed, and with their own unique stencil style, the images made by the mysterious graffiti artist have gripped the public’s imagination for a reason. And thanks to The Art of Banksy exhibition in Covent Garden, you have a limited time to become even more familiar with his masterpieces.

Boasting rare works that have never been seen before, the exhibition stays true to Banksy’s revolutionary spirit by being completely unendorsed by the artist. Featuring over 100 original pieces, from prints to colossal works on canvas, the display also gives attendees an insight into his creative process and learn about his works for charity.

Highlights of the exhibition include the piece made for the Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation, the NHS and activists like Greenpeace. Meanwhile, the sale of a CND Soldiers print featured in the gallery recently raised £81,000 for Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv. In total, it is estimated that the total amount raised by Banksy for charity is almost £30 million.

“Showstopper pieces like the colossal Brace Yourself (2010) also bring to life fascinating stories from Banksy,” adds the gallery in a statement. “Brace Yourself made headlines in 2010 when the work Banksy gifted the painting to the band formerly known as ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’ in exchange for the rights to their name.

“Featuring a dodgem-riding Grim Reaper, this is one of the largest artworks ever created by Banksy, and a rare chance to see this infamous piece.”

The Art of Banksy also offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience his work in a way that simply isn’t possible when viewed from the streets. With the help of six screens broadcasting a series of interviews with Banksy’s printer, you will also get a glimpse into what it was like to work with the notorious street artist.

Don’t despair if you live in the UK and cannot get to Covent Garden, though. The exhibition will be travelling around the country as part of its international tour, which has already seen it stopping off at Melbourne, Toronto and Miami.
