New York Fashion Week will coincide with the first of two Met Galas set to take place over the next 12 months, which will both focus on American fashion. The first installment, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, celebrates the Costume Institute’s 75th anniversary and will explore “the modern vocabulary of American fashion”.
