The Crafted Life's Colorful DIY WeddingTime for Part II of our colorful wedding!!

There are so, so many photos to share, and our video at the end, so brace yourself for a long post! Today’s post is all about our ceremony and reception. You can see our getting ready + first look photos here if you missed them.  I actually have so many more things to share from our wedding, but I’ll be saving the rest until after the holidays and new year. If there’s anything specific you’d like to see more of, or if you have any questions, please let me know!

Let’s get to the photos already!!

The Crafted Life's Colorful Wedding

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingThe Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingI shared the tutorial for these DIY Confetti Programs a little bit back. I added some vinyl to a glass container to display them as people arrived. The exact box we used is out of stock, but this one is very similar!

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingWe encouraged our guests to wear as much color as they wanted to for the day. Our friend Chris went above and beyond and TIE DYED HIS SUIT!!! Can you believe it?! It’s so perfect. My friend/bridesmaid Julie shared the tutorial over on her Instagram.

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingSomething special we did for our rings: we used the stones from Ryan’s great grandmother’s ring in both his and mine! For his, we inlayed them in the inside of his band. It has a smooth finishing and he doesn’t feel it when wearing. It’s such a fun hidden connection to my ring and his great grandmother! We went to Ken & Dana here in NYC and they were just so lovely to work with.  The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingThe Crafted Life's Colorful Wedding

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingFor the bridesmaid dresses, I gave them a color swatch and they found a dress to match it. The groomsmen wore ties and pocket squares to match whoever they walked down the aisle with.

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingThe Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingI made these colorful table numbers back in 2019 and was finally able to put them to use!

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingWe worked with Minted for our stationery suite and I have to say it was one of my favorite details of the wedding. The colors were perfect and the letter-pressed paper was just beautiful. Because of COVID guidelines, we weren’t able to have the set table for the guest, but everyone had one of these at their seats.  The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingOur taper candles were from Oleander & Palm. They’ve easily become one of my favorite candles and the colors couldn’t have been more beautiful!

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingYou might recognize these disco balls from our disco ball fireplace! We gave a few of the disco balls away to guests and have the leftovers in our home today.

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingOne of the best things we did to save money was to just pick up cakes from a local bakery instead of having a wedding cake made (we used Little Cupcake Bakeshop in NYC). Our florist was able to make them feel a little fancier by adding a few florals to each cake.

My friend at Everlaser made our cake topper and it was PERFECT! It matched the exact font from our invitations.

The Crafted Life's Colorful WeddingFor our wedding favors, we ordered small colorful boxes + stickers from Minted and filled them with chocolate and aspirin. We used a cupcake stand to display them, in rainbow order of course. The night ended with a s’mores bar and cocktails outside.
