Amit Design Studio was tasked to create a sporty and elegant office for SGS Law Firm located in Ramat Gan, Israel.

The new offices of SGS (Solicitors) are located on the 35th floor of ‘Gibor-Sport Tower’, at the heart of Ramat-Gan commercial center. The offices spread over the whole floor (1000m/2). The surrounding view is breath-taking, to the West, the coastline of Tel Aviv, and from the east, Hills of Jerusalem.

At the entrance the main lobby and a secondary secretarial desk, a few informal sitting areas are scattered around. There are 40 offices and 3 meeting rooms of different sizes, 2 kitchens, and an archive room.

The inspirational motif was: ‘sporty & elegant’. The blue tone of the partitions’ frames and as well as the tone of the walls was actually taken from the firm’s logo.

The partitions are made of clear glass, which allow daylight all the way into the spaces at the center of the office. All walls are cladded with blue wood from floor to 240cm. Above the 240cm is all open ceilings, and this is the context which gives the whole space its character in-line with its general motif.

Usually, the design of solicitors’ office is understood as conservative and even traditional.
There is almost a formula on how it is supposed to look. We therefore wanted to shake off this perception, and challenged ourselves to insert a bit of ‘Ally Mckbeal touch’ to the design – fresh looking, young and elegant office.
