Conduit Interior personified the open-door ethos of wealth management company, Skybound Capital, in the design of their offices in Cape Town, South Africa.

Skybound Capital is a global wealth management business with a footprint in South Africa, Hong Kong, London, Mauritius, and Bermuda. As an investment company that focuses on close, personal relationships with their clients, Skybound Capital wanted an office space that personifies their open-door ethos, encouraging clients to pay a visit and enjoy the expertise on offer.

The first port of call for a visitor is Skybound’s reception, where you are met by a quirky, angular reception desk which provides the first hint of Skybound’s individuality. A bespoke lighting feature floats above the waiting area, softening the space to create a warm welcoming pod for brief pauses and introductions.

Just beyond reception, the Bloomberg terminal provides the analysts with ready access to fast-paced information, as well as allowing clients an insight into the engine room of Skybound.

A multitude of formal and informal meeting areas are provided to suit all levels of interactions, ranging from the coffee bar to the gathering bench in the whiteboard area all the way up to the meeting rooms where an acoustically tight stacking door folds away to create a single, large boardroom.

An informal meeting booth was designed as a focal point at the end of the entrance corridor, drawing the eye into the space and providing an intuitive location for team members to use for informal meetings.
