At the risk of making too bold of a statement, 2022 might just be football’s greatest year for kit designs. Everyone has their favorite eras, with plenty of vintage bangers amongst collector’s archives, but honestly, adidas has put the footwork in to consistently deliver unforgettable jerseys for club and national teams the world over.

For the first chapter of their collaboration which launched close to two weeks ago, and revealed Ajax Amsterdam’s third kit for the season. Styled in gold with a subtle brown monogram of iconic city sites, Daily Paper blew their first jersey design out of the water, putting its mark on the city’s biggest team for a historical cross-cultural moment.
Following the huge success of this first release, the trio has returned with a sequel, upping the stakes with a full pre-match collection inspired by East African beadwork that celebrates Amsterdam’s diverse cultures and communities.
Traditional beadwork has been translated to a graphic red, green, and black print which dresses short and long-sleeve pre-match jerseys while offering contrasting flair to warm-up tracksuits – all of which are now.
