Kanye West, now known as Ye, blew up the internet in January 2023 when it was widely reported that former YEEZY employee Bianca Censori in a secret ceremony. Just as suddenly as the pair got together, they’ve apparently separated.
Reports of Ye and Bianca’s split come from skepticism-worthy tabloid sites like the Daily Mail and , who each cite anonymous sources. That’s not necessarily hard-hitting facts but it’s also not too hard to believe that Ye could be the source of fraying ties.
A lengthy exposé explored the challenging Ye-adidas relationship, for instance, a fraught team-up only made more irascible over the years as Ye’s recalcitrant tendencies blew up a highly profitable partnership.
Couldn’t one believe that Ye’s alleged antics might cause the same strife in a domestic relationship?
According to said sources, 46-year-old Ye and 28-year-old Bianca have been at wit’s end for some time for not dissimilar reasons.
There’ve been many scandalous reports from tabloids asserting that Ye and Bianca have maintained a contentious, tenuous relationship. Of course, none of the stories have been verified by anyone other than these anonymous insiders providing the info to the usual outlets, though that hasn’t stopped them from publishing some eye-opening tales.
For instance, one nameless source told that Ye enforces a strict “set of rules for Bianca, which includes [to] never speak and wear what he wants her to wear. She has no mind of her own anymore and obeys him because he has convinced her that they are royal.”
Pretty big claims but if the couple actually has already separated not even a year after they got married, maybe there actually is trouble in paradise.
It’s also worth noting that although it was previously reported that Ye and Bianca were bound by a non-legal union, the tabloids have reported as recently as late October that they are .
“Her family has never been a fan of Ye, and those close to her have questioned whether marrying him was the right decision,” a US Sun source in a separate story.
“Kanye said they’ve been taking a breather since mid-October … He is a very difficult person to be around and work for. He has been a lot happier and more focused with her around, but I think the relationship has taken its toll on her a bit.”
The breaking point was apparently Kanye dropping his pants during a , which also got Ye and Bianca into hot water . According to insiders, the Censori family had seen enough and immediately reached out to Bianca in a successful bid to get her back home.
Indeed, Bianca’s family reportedly lured Bianca back home to Australia in October after over some of the shenanigans that the couple got into .
For now, Ye and Bianca are “on a break” it seems, with no reunion in sight.
However, the report goes on to say that Bianca might reunite with Ye after the launch of his with Ty Dolla Sign, which has been in development (and delayed) for several months.
Ye and Censori’s quiet marriage was followed by several months of silence, its only public acknowledgement coming by way of “Censori Overload,” an impromptu single that Ye quietly released in December.
The couple very much kept to themselves in the wake of widespread backlash over Ye’s in late 2022 — and internet-shaking shock over their sudden, secretive union — but when they returned to the scene, they really made a splash.
Ye immediately took to the streets (!), , and, on occasion, no , all while preparing for a major overhaul to .
Censori, meanwhile, was exclusively seen wearing , sometimes garnished with or for flair from designer friends like Mowalola and Marni’s Francesco Risso. They made quite a pair, he and she suited up in .
The resulting cultural phenomenon was so impressive that it made headlines ’round the globe. Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne even dressed as Ye and Bianca .
While he’s grown apart from Bianca Censori, Ye has turned his focus inwards.
He’s been hard at work on his new album, producing it with Ty Dolla Sign in Italy.
In late October, Ye traveled to Saudi Arabia on a rich benefactor’s dime to watch Tyson Fury fight Francis Ngannou.
Ye apparently liked it so much there that he set up shop in town, extending his stay to continue working on the new album in a remote set-up within Al-Ula, where guest rappers, producers, and consultants continue to be flown in on a near-weekly basis.
Bianca Censori, however, is not one of them.
