Introducing the celebrity beauty brand to end all celebrity beauty brands: Beyoncé’s newly announced hair care line.

The megastar teased the endeavor on Instagram, posting a slideshow of several leading photos. The first shows her seated at a vanity surrounded by what appears to be lab samples of hair creams and serums; the second is a throwback — a childhood shot of herself in a salon chair getting her hair done.

Bey also included a handwritten statement explaining the un-captioned post. “How many of ya’ll knew my first job was sweeping hair in mama’s salon? Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done,” the note begins.

“I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls… Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”

While Beyoncé hasn’t explicitly confirmed that she’s creating a hair care line, her Instagram post points pretty clearly in that direction.

The news comes shortly after Bey and adidas ended their partnership. The duo’s deal began in 2019, when adidas named Beyoncé creative design partner. As part of her new role, the superstar relaunched IVY PARK — the clothing brand she founded in 2016 — under adidas’ umbrella. Thus, adidas x IVY PARK was born, a collaboration that spanned apparel, activewear, swimwear, and footwear.

Beyoncé, who retains sole ownership of IVY PARK, is reportedly looking to venture out on her own in an effort to maintain complete control over the brand’s creative.

With hair care on the horizon, the Renaissance queen — who recently embarked on world tour — joins the vast group of celebrities who boast their own beauty brands (Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Brad Pitt, and Tracee Ellis Ross are just a sampling of the figures who have gotten in on makeup, skincare, and hair).
