There’s something about an alternative sports strip that always excites us. Sure, the Home strip is the iconic one with all of the history, but across all sports, it’s the lesser-used strips that often really grab our attention. Below, we’ve put together a selection of our favorite 2022 NBA City jerseys, but it’s worth checking out the full range.
Starting strong with the Celtics. This jersey stole our hearts with its regal dark green hue.
We’re suckers for a super-pale pastel. The barely-there blue used on the Cavaliers City jersey is doing it for us.
Taking elements from past Miami Heat uniforms, the 2022 Miami Heat City Jersey features collaged text against a white backdrop.
Brooklyn’s usually two-tone, black & white jerseys are given a pop of bold color in the City edition.
One of our favorite jerseys in recent years was worn by the Milwaukee Bucks — you know, the super-smooth cream-colored one? Well, for the 2022 City drop, that cream hue returns to the trims of this purple edition.
Potentially the jersey that stands out the most is the Portland Trailblazers City Jersey. This black and teal top ticks all the boxes we have set out for a successful City edition.
The Warriors get a memorable City design this year thanks to a big rose graphic on the front. The floral design is echoed in a more minimal illustration on the chest.
The Rockets look to the past for inspiration this year. This was the first NBA jersey I ever owned in the early ’00s. That’s the beauty of giving teams the opportunity to get creative.
Simple but effective, this jersey thrives on the play between the turquoise and gold coloring.
Another major jersey switch-up comes at the hands of the Timberwolves, whose usual dark blue is swapped for a rainbow of color-blocking.
