No matter how close we are to our friends or family, they don’t always make us proud. Sometimes, they make the most embarrassing and off-color remarks, and we just want the ground below to swallow us up and put us out of our misery. Here are some situations where loved ones left people cringing and wishing they were somewhere else.
1. Wheel Her Out Of My Life
While I was out on a walk with my grandma, parents, and sister, we came across one of my friends who was in a wheelchair, like myself. We chatted for a bit when, suddenly, my grandma targeted my friend and chimed in with, “Ugh, the nerve some people have, pretending to be ill just to use a wheelchair. Get a hobby.” She then tried to push me to go away. I was so horrified I couldn’t react.
My friend had been in a hit-and-run accident which left them paralyzed from the waist down. I never spoke to my grandma again.
