as you might have seen on last week, i made a visit to in the very charming town of , in northern california, just a short drive from san francisco. has been reinvented from a bygone apple canary, into a 12-acre Bay Area industrial-chic, outdoor market featuring locally made food, wine, beer, spirits, homewares and crafts — many of them made onsite by Sonoma County artisans.

it’s the home to some wonderful and loads of delicious , like , , and delicious wine tasting at — all in a dog-friendly, organic edible landscaping — a nod to the rich agricultural history that surrounds . i thought i’d share a few of my favorite spots with you — next time you’re headed up north i highly recommend a visit! underwent a pretty tough year from all the northern california rains and flooding, so i’m all for showing them a lot of support! for a full list of all the shops and cafes, visit and check the links below to shop their wares online.

— what a beautiful place to shop! meet my wonderful partners at — the team has really outdone themselves in the design of their barlow shop (you can also visit them in their original as well as ) and the vast inventory of predominantly french vintage homewares. is a small sustainable (vintage is the ultimate way to recycle!), friends & family-run company, traveling the world to bring you beautiful, mostly vintage home decor and furnishings, plus a whole lot of design and styling inspiration for your home.

— i think of it as a modern mom & pop general store, and it’s quite possibly my new favorite store for clothing and homewares. i could have run off with most of what they sell here (thank goodness i can find them , too) — Focused on aesthetic sustainability and craftsmanship, features a global to local collection of makers creating home decor, women’s men’s and beautiful children’s wares. stop in and say hi to proprietors Grace and Oliver Estrada and the store namesake, their beautiful furry pup.

— amazing floral designers nichole and kathrin offer up any-occasion floral delivery throughout Sonoma County, and specialize in weddings and events. Their gorgeous offers flower and plant-based gifts, gardening supplies, handmade items from local artists all over sonoma, and locally grown flowers, all informed by the seasons and what makes them swoon while foraging out in the fields — their designs are beautiful, thoughtful and dramatic. be sure and check out that beautiful in person when you stop in (it’s quite instagrammable!) — aka ADELPHA CALIFORNICA is THE CALIFORNIA SISTER BUTTERFLY and A NATIVE TO THE WEST COAST AND just happens to be the store NAMESAKE.
