Open Calls
The Chicago Botanic Garden will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022. A series of public programs and art experiences will celebrate the Garden’s remarkable growth and will establish the tone for the next decade. The Garden is seeking Statements of Interest from artists for sculptures, installations, and experiences.
Deadline: April 12, 2021.
SUNY Oswego seeks proposals for outdoor sculptures for the school’s main campus. Seven artists will be chosen to install artworks in a centrally located lawn area adjacent to SUNY Oswego’s Campus Center. Selected works will be on view for a three-year exhibition and become part of SUNY Oswego’s Campus.
Deadline: April 15, 2021.
The Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center presents an open call for Shine: Catching the Light. The summer exhibition will feature artwork in which light is a prominent element in the piece. Cash awards. There is an application fee of $25.

Residencies & Grants
This residency provides artists with a stipend of $1,500 is provided to assist with travel and art materials, and studio and living spaces are on the museum’s grounds. There is an application fee of $40.

Noldor is Ghana’s first independent arts residency and fellowship program for contemporary African artists. Noldor is currently accepting applications for its annual four-week program for one emerging African artist from the continent or the African diaspora.
Deadline: Rolling basis.
In its 2020 cycle, the Arts Writers Grant awarded a total of $675,000 to 22 writers. Ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 in three categories—articles, books, and short-form writing. The 2021 cycle begins in two weeks, and you can prepare by referencing the

The grant provides $2,000 each to six contemporary artists working in the visual arts. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and reside in the U.S. or Canada.

The award provides direct support of up to $10,000 to under-recognized visual artists 21 years or older. The application fee is $15.
