initially, when i decided i needed to live beachside again, i looked in and around venice, but cute spots are hard to come by that are also affordable. so when i saw this beautiful venice home featured recently in i had a few pangs of envy. it’s the very dreamy space belonging to Neada Deters, founder of the beauty line and it’s quite enviable, indeed. lovely and light-filled with gorgeous hardwood floors, and the kind of built-ins you just can’t find anymore, she’s decorated it sparingly, but with pieces that pair well with beachside living — rattan and bamboo, natural light woods, and a bright white-washed finish to all the walls and beamed ceilings. i’m inspired by her example to go slowly when decorating, enjoy the process and the treasure hunt. i’m one who’s apt to design the whole place and shop before i even arrive, so i’m trying to take deep breaths and slow down on and savor the process. for the full tour, have a look at .
