The Arabian has recently completed a distinguished project in the heart of DIFC for Baraka Financial Limited, a prominent Fintech company recognized as the “Start-up of the year”. Spanning 1800 square feet, this compact space was was required to accommodate a few cabins, meeting rooms, a fully equipped pantry, 24 workstations, and collaborative work pods. At the core of this project is a concept focused on fostering a warm, comfortable, and highly productive environment for the company’s employees. Embracing the client’s vision of a sleek Scandinavian theme infused with natural elements, particularly wood, the design seamlessly integrates wooden accents throughout the office. From privacy-enhancing wooden slats to flooring and baffle walls, wood serves as a unifying element, imparting a sense of cohesiveness and warmth.
Curvilinear design elements were strategically employed to optimize space utilization without compromising on aesthetics. Writable boards were placed around workstations and collaborative zones to facilitate brainstorming sessions and problem-solving activities, complementing the office’s design ethos. To ensure acoustic comfort for all occupants, acoustic panels were strategically integrated alongside writable boards and on the ceiling. Ergonomic and personable furniture selections further enhance employee comfort and well-being. The meeting room exemplifies flexibility and functionality, featuring bi-fold doors that allow for seamless transition between open collaboration and private meetings. Additionally, the inclusion of a large TV and PlayStation near the lounge offers employees a space to unwind and recharge.
Raw industrial finishes, incorporating natural and sustainable elements, contribute to the office’s character while providing visual contrast and enhancing acoustic performance. The primary challenge of maximizing space utilization without compromising on aesthetics was met with innovative design solutions. This meticulously crafted office space embodies a perfect balance of minimalistic design and character, stimulating and invigorating all senses.
