oh la la! this home is truly something special. called the riverhouse, it almost reminds me (in a good way) of a little hobbit house, the way it’s nestled into nature almost becoming one with it. it’s the renovated home of designer Valentin Loellmann and family in Maastricht, on the southern tip of the Netherlands and one of the oldest cities in Holland. i love the huge arched bedroom window, and long, flowy pale blue draperies framing that spectacular view of the garden. it looks like a bedroom i could while away several mornings in, not wanting to get up. but that kitchen would beckon me eventually — brass-faced, cupboards shining in the morning light — heck yeah. for the full tour, visit Valentin Loellmann Studios.
