this week’s is all about shiny pretty objects d’ art — brass, mirror, glass, and chrome specifically, but maybe a bit of copper and gold thrown in for good measure. metallics have been on trend for a long while now and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. i especially love mirrored walls and that next-level brass-faced cabinetry — such a lovely design detail that only gets better with age. here’s a look at some of my current favorites — home accessories, furnishings, and rooms filled with pretty shiny details that also act as works of art. a mid-century modern chrome-legged chair, a beautiful ornate mirror reflecting your room back to you — even a big bold disco ball. all these lovely things that continue to shine on, and on.
