how’s that for a tongue-twister? it’s definitely hard to say three times fast. but seashells, all on their own are really quite lovely. i found a delicate vintage pink sea fan in the french countryside (how did it get there, i wonder?) and it got me thinking about decorating around the seashell motif. in small doses, i think they’re a unique addition to any decor — almost like a small sculpture. and seashell or sea fan art prints are quite nice as well. is someone whose taste i quite admire and she utilizes a lot of found shells in her decor (and she has a new line of beautiful oceanic inspired out as well). have a look at your local flea market or and find your own sculpture from the sea, but remember to be mindful of mother nature and respectful of our oceans, only collecting shells long past their lives.
