BHP Sheffield’s new workplace, designed by Blokka in collaboration with BHP and Translink, transforms the historic Albert Works into a warm, professional, and flexible environment. Balancing industrial heritage with contemporary functionality, the design features varied settings including a client coffee hub, executive meeting rooms, welfare areas, and adaptable training spaces. Sustainability was central to the project, with extensive reuse and refurbishment of existing furniture, reducing waste and saving embodied carbon. Acoustic panels made from recycled PET, integrated planting, and natural textures enhance wellbeing, while flexible layouts and abundant natural light ensure the workspace can evolve with the organisation’s future needs.
