a much as i adore my cottage in laguna beach, i’m well aware there are surf spots like this small town all over the europe, too — Biarritz, france for example. i picture these surf shacks to be très charming, but with a little bit older, more rustic look perhaps, but with a vintage-modern vibe. lots of bamboo & rattan furniture (we just got some great new finds at from france), soft white linens, paper lanterns well-worn with age, lots of layered textiles. can you picture it yet? let’s imagine what it might look like living beachside in Biarritz. from funky, vintage-inspired home goods to hammocks, palm fronds, and surfboards, let’s fantasize about living utterly away from all. i could do with a little of that right now, how about you?
