Where technology meets nature – the new BorgWarner office, a company specialising in automotive technology, brings together modern, high-tech solutions with natural materials and thoughtful design choices that support sustainability and employee well-being.

References to nature are evident from the moment you enter the reception area – a carpet evoking the rhythm of ocean waves, soft, rounded furniture, natural wood finishes, and abundant greenery all contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Yet, the space retains a distinctly technological character, highlighted by features such as a concrete, backlit reception desk and automotive-inspired details. This interplay is completed by deliberately exposed technical installations, creating a cohesive contrast between organic materials and contemporary design.

Recognising the diverse needs of employees, the office design favours separate, segregated zones over large, open spaces. These zones are further divided by acoustic partitions to foster a more peaceful work environment. Whether someone thrives in a social setting or prefers quiet concentration, the space is thoughtfully designed to accommodate all working styles and personalities.

Embracing the principles of biophilic design, the office draws inspiration from the natural landscapes. Each meeting room is themed around a different environments such as rivers, deserts, forests, featuring distinctive elements such as ocean-inspired ceiling patterns and felt materials reminiscent of the seabed.

Complementing this organic aesthetic, BorgWarner’s signature colours – vibrant shades of blue and turquoise – are incorporated throughout the interior. Appearing on walls, pillars, flooring and lighting fixtures, these tones subtly express the brand’s identity while blending seamlessly with the nature-inspired design language.

The office offers also a variety of spaces dedicated to relaxation and social interaction. A standout feature is the spacious kitchen, connected to a game room where employees can unwind with a TV or a game of table football. This area is brought to life with bold colours, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere while wooden accents and lush greenery make the space feel homely. A large shared table at the centre of the kitchen also serves as a natural spot for informal meetings and communal lunches.
