
one of the things i did right away after buying my house is to try and bring back some of the california craftsman personality that had been stripped away from it over the years. it had the craftsman ‘bones’ but window trim was missing and the paint job didn’t accent the lines of the house. i continue to work on returning the house to its true architecture (you can see ), and my latest addition is in partnership with . they have all kinds of beautiful artisan lighting fixtures — for and , but since the exterior lights on my house never really made my heart sing, i selected some perfectly craftsman-styled to look great against the black paint.

i chose troy’s with a dark finish and vintage-inspired glass enclosures and cages, which were just what i was looking for and make a world of difference to the house, adding a lot of curb appeal to my old craftsman. troy carries everything from modern and , to a wonderful selection of , and , too. i was super impressed with the quality, easy installation and most of all, love knowing their will be a great long-term investment in my home.
