Creditreform in Offenbach is an independent branch of the leading provider of business information, marketing data, and solutions for protecting against payment defaults. The financial service provider has been located near the new building complex for many years. After the pandemic, there was a need to adapt the outdated office spaces to the new workplace requirements and the appearance of the entire group.

In a newly built urban building complex, the Goethequartier Offenbach, which includes rental apartments, office and commercial spaces, Mint Architecture Frankfurt develops an initial proposal for the use and design of a 700 m² office space on behalf of the landlord. The design impressed Creditreform, the prospective tenant, who subsequently commissioned the Frankfurt office to create a new workspace.

Timeless Quality
Consistency and continuity have a long tradition at Creditreform. Mint Architecture translates the group’s core values into interior design, creating a sustainable workspace in both usage and materials. The space is given a striking functional and aesthetic character by an internal core, which is connected to a sculptural bench in the entrance area. The use of light-colored birch wood creates a natural atmosphere that contrasts with the walls, columns and ceiling made of reinforced concrete. Inside the wooden core are the kitchen, sanitary facilities, and lockable storage rooms. Surrounding this wooden interior, open office areas with four work groups are arranged on one side, while on the opposite northern side the meeting rooms, interaction space, and individual offices are located, with access to the continuous terrace. These rooms are enclosed by transparent glass corridor walls, giving all employees a view of the outside area.

Loft-Like Atmosphere
The architects at Mint Architecture Frankfurt designed the interior based on the largely unfinished structure of the building, creating a loft-like ambiance through contrasting materials and color schemes. The visible technical installations on the ceiling provide colorful accents, while the white ceiling panels – effective as heating and cooling elements as well as sound absorbers – are interrupted by a black track system with integrated lighting fixtures. Glass doors framed in black steel profiles, a black-and-white furnishing, and light-colored exposed concrete walls and flooring contrast with the warm wooden elements and the black kitchen and niches inside.
