one thing i can tell you having just returned from london and paris — eclectic is in! not that it ever went out of style, especially in european corners of the world, but i found myself uber-inspired by what’s going on over there especially in terms of their madcap mix of genres, color and pattern. one of my favorite resources for that kind of home inspiration is milk decoration magazine (and my suitcase was heavily evidenced by the few i lugged home). take for example this glorious home of french actress, singer-songwriter and stylist, Izia Higelinand her apartment in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. think unique lighting, colorful prints and very personal and vintage home accessories. shop ebay, etsy, craigslist, elsie green, chairish and flea markets and yard sales near you everywhere to get the look!
