At MoVe Architects, we had the rare opportunity to revisit and transform a space we had originally designed for a previous client, adapting it to suit the evolving needs of EVN. When the previous tenant vacated the premises, EVN took over the office and entrusted us with reimagining it into a modern, sustainable workspace that aligns with their identity. This exciting challenge allowed us to build upon our original work, preserving its essence while tailoring the space to reflect EVN’s vision, values, and culture.

Sustainability as a Core Principle
A cornerstone of this redesign was sustainability. Rather than discarding the existing design elements, we embraced an adaptive reuse approach—repurposing functional furniture and features while introducing new elements that resonate with EVN’s identity. This approach not only reduced material waste but also created a sense of continuity and resourcefulness, honoring the original design while giving it a fresh perspective.

Design Harmony: Materials and Palette
The material palette was key to uniting the old and the new. Warm wood finishes, including vertical slat walls, lend a sense of natural warmth, while a neutral color scheme of whites, grays, and earthy tones creates a timeless, sophisticated backdrop. This combination ensures visual harmony across the space, blending retained features seamlessly with the new design elements.

A Welcoming First Impression
The reception area perfectly encapsulates the balance between modernity and sustainability. EVN’s logo is showcased against a backdrop of rich wood paneling, framed by lush greenery that immediately creates a sense of warmth and welcoming. This entrance sets the tone for the entire workspace, reflecting the company’s values of innovation and environmental stewardship.

Kitchen and Social Spaces
Designed as a vibrant social hub, the kitchen features bold red bar stools that inject energy and contrast into the neutral palette. Paired with high tables and sleek finishes, this space encourages casual interaction and fosters a sense of community. Large windows flood the area with natural light, making it a lively and inviting environment for breaks and informal brainstorming sessions.

A Space for Collaboration
The meeting room balances functionality with refined aesthetics. A minimalistic white conference table anchors the space, surrounded by ergonomic gray chairs that offer both comfort and style. Wooden slat panels add warmth while enhancing acoustics, and suspended ceiling panels with integrated linear lighting provide even diffused lighting. Lush greenery along the windows softens the atmosphere, reinforcing a connection to nature. At the far end, a dual-screen presentation system ensures seamless digital collaboration, making the room an efficient and inviting setting for discussions.

A Testament to Adaptive Design
This project exemplifies the potential of adaptive reuse and thoughtful design. By skillfully blending existing elements with fresh ideas, we crafted a dynamic, sustainable environment that supports productivity, collaboration, and growth. The result is a workspace that honors the history of the space while embodying EVN’s forward-thinking identity—a true testament to the power of innovative office design.
