If you’ve followed me for a while, you may have seen me share this kitchen featured in a while back. It’s my all-time favorite kitchen look, mainly for the sassy Italian-inspired striped curtain. I still want to create this for my own kitchen, and it’s on my Springtime to-do list. And since it’s feeling quite springy and sunny outside right now, I feel inspired to share some fresh-looking kitchens and helpful cooking accouterment with you this week to start your Spring off right. There’s nothing like a kitchen with a fresh coat of white paint and a few green accents to give you a light and bright new look for the season. When in doubt, I always suggest painting as a way to give a room new life, and when it comes to white, my go-to is Oxford White, just in case you’re looking for a good one. Yes, chef.
I especially love these two kitchens for their bright and airy look and how they bring all their gardens’ green foilage inside through those epic windows and French doors — it’s almost like you’re cooking al fresco, and what could be better? I’ve got a tiny old kitchen built in 1929, but just off my back patio, I’ve got an old bistro table crowded with potted fresh herbs. I love coming out and snipping basil, thyme, chives, rosemary, oregano, etc., to add to my recipes — so much better than dried herbs. Oh, and my favorite kitchen tool is this . It’s a genius game-changer and pretty fun to use, too!
