it’s been one of those weeks where i can barely look at the news. i could use some nuggets of good news, or at least interesting and uplifting ideas about the world, so while i’m working i often listen to podcasts. this week’s highlight was , author of . a pretty interesting theory and as a right-brain kind of thinker, i was happy to hear about it. okay, onto design ideas — we’re all over the map quite literally today. x, v.
double drat — i was not in france this january for paris design week 2023. well, actually, i’ve never been, but at least we can visit vicariously via and this visit on . one of the show favorites was this installation — a 19th-century painted faux marble bathtub draped with fabric from the a new collection by , a savonnerie carpet, an embroidered stool by , and all the remaining vintage pieces by , one of my favorite instagram accounts for all things french.
