as per usual, i’m a mad mix of finds this friday. from a really moving film, i hope you’ll be intrigued to see, to some interesting architectural wonders, let’s venture far and wide this week. i’m taking us from a cinematic seaside town in the u.k., onward to spain, france, and finally, we’re landing stateside in arizona. i had all kinds of plans to go to los angeles for the weekend and share some of my favorite shops with you, but alas it’s going to be raining cats and dogs here, so i’ll be cuddled up at home with a good book. i hope you all have a cozy weekend, too. x, v.
i’ve been following photographer for a long while now, so when i tuned in to watch on hbo last week, i thought something about the film felt oddly familiar. and sure enough, joe had photographed quite beautifully in the beach town of margate at the very center of the story. the film directed by is so moving, and the cinematography by is just breathtaking. i highly recommend watching it (and the short behind-the-scenes preview provided, as well). and check out for more inspiring photography.
