hello and happy weekend. i’ve actually ducked out early this week in seek of sunshine in palm springs while also on a special assignment there — more about that soon! but in the meantime, i leave you with some redhot summer inspiration. have a great weekend, one and all, and see you next week. x, v.

this feels so madhatter tea party to me, but it’s simply an image from a 1978 book bright ideas for your home by per dalsgaard. it also reminded me of an inspiring surrealist artists’ garden party depicted in transatlantic, a show i recently watched on netflix. it’s about an american journalist during wwii who manages to arrange safe passage out of france for all kinds of refugees, including well-known surrealist artists and writers of the time. the party scene was fantastic and something i’d love to emulate in my own garden. i highly recommend a watch.
