if you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll probably know that i can be a bit camera shy and don’t do many fashion shoots, but when banana republic invited me to style and share their new fall collection, i thought it might be good for me to get out of my safe space and have some fun with it! they had such pretty clothing and accessories for fall — like this sweet suede mini skirt and sexy black boots that i got all dressed up — just for you! i chose pieces with longevity that i could create lots of other looks with but that still had timeless style — fabrics and textures that stand the test of time when it comes to iconic fashion — who doesn’t love a mini skirt? i’ve been wearing banana republic clothing for as long as i can remember — easy go-to pieces i can easily mix and match with my existing wardrobe, and that reflect a laidback california lifestyle.
i paired the stretch-suede mini skirt with their classic black & white striped quinn boy-fit super-stretch shirt, a very versatile italian merino wool v-neck sweater vest (i love a black vest in L.A. because it’s not too hot, and looks great even over a white tee), the cosy oversized italian superloft black duster cardigan sweater, matte black opaque tights and tassel zip high-heel ankle boots in black leather (another perfect staple for fall because boots really dress up a pair of jeans, too). add some accessories, like a black Wide Brim Fedora Felt Hat, a great vegan leather mini tote and some tortoise hoop earrings and i’m good to go! all of these pieces can be worn separately so easily — the skirt goes great with so many things, like a black turtleneck, and i’ll be wearing the loose comfy cardigan all season long, even just curled up at home over pj’s with a good book.
