For nearly a decade, Oktra partnered with Headland on their evolving workplace journey, beginning with their first office fit out in 2017, followed by a significant expansion in 2022. Their latest chapter called for a workspace that would bring their growing team together on a single floor—strengthening connections, improving communication, and creating a space that truly reflects their people-first culture.

As a leading reputation consultancy with a bold vision, Headland wanted a space that felt polished and professional without the rigidity of a traditional corporate environment.

A dynamic front-of-house AV wall, tailored to each day’s visiting client, make the arrival feel personal. Paired with a discreet boardroom and carefully curated artwork, the space sets a tone of warmth, vibrancy, and confidence—truly capturing the spirit of the team.

At the heart of the floorplate, a multifunctional hub reimagines the traditional town hall. It is designed to be open and inclusive, serving as a natural extension of the working environment. The area offers a variety of settings to suit different needs, including lounge seating for informal catch-ups, café-style tables, and long benches for team lunches.

An AV wall, ceiling speakers, and full conferencing capabilities support presentations and larger gatherings, while a large island teapoint and additional breakfast bar make the space equally suited to daytime breaks and evening events. Together, these elements reinforce the hub’s role as a flexible, social anchor within the office.

Each meeting room is defined by a distinct, curated colour palette that reflects Headland’s dynamic culture. Sustainable materials, biophilic elements, and a custom ripple metal ceiling enrich the sensory experience—elevating the space beyond a conventional fit out into a purpose-driven, future-focused workplace.

Sustainability was a key factor in the design process. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility, Oktra prioritised thoughtful reuse, minimising waste while upholding a high standard of quality and aesthetics. Existing furniture was carefully reworked and seamlessly integrated into the new scheme, reducing environmental impact without compromising the look, feel, or functionality of the space.

The result is a workplace that balances sustainability, function, and design integrity across its 20,000 sq ft footprint.

Headland’s new workplace is a true reflection of their culture, ambition, and values. Designed to foster collaboration, inclusivity, and growth, it empowers their people to thrive while offering a warm, memorable experience for clients and visitors. Built to grow with the business, the space supports Headland’s evolution and strengthens a lasting partnership rooted in trust, shared vision, and purposeful design.
