Print artist and the introduce their collaborative collection, exhibition and pop up shop ‘In Perfect Process’, with florals taking over 400sqm of a disused church in the suburb of Copeland Park. The collaboration will run as part of 2019, which celebrates design across venues and institutes citywide from September 14 – 22.
The exhibition showcases the process of a creative journey, culminating several months of documentation by London Flower School’s in-house photographer , who chronicled the collaboration through a series of photographs and short films. The large-scale and print installation features limited-edition framed prints and locally made silk scarves available to purchase, each made in the vein of questioning the beauty and imperfection in nature and humanity. The prints feature abstract, kinetic flower formations, while the scarves present of precisely arranged petals, stalks and leaves.

Lisa King’s experimental and dynamic approach to print artistry has seen her seasonal scarf collections become highly coveted over the past few years, with clients including Prada, Harvey Nichols and Kylie Minogue. The London Flower School collaboration was a natural fit, after King spent a year creating prints by engaging with water, ink and flowers as a form of tribute to someone she lost. King’s boundary-pushing play with flower and inks is at the core of ‘In Perfect Process’, led by London Flower School’s desire to push boundaries by seeing floristry as an art form.
Believing in widening the potential of floristry, the School encourages students to develop their own creative vision and bring progressive new concepts to life. “Collaborating with Lisa has given us the opportunity to take our own creative process beyond our school environment. We have worked together to develop the journey that we take our students on in order that they feel empowered to innovate. Working with Lisa has enabled us to take the creative process one step further and produce a product that we are all proud of,” says Wagner Kreusch, Managing Director of London Flower School.
Besides the print and flower installation and retail textile products, ‘In Perfect Process’ will host a series of evening talks as well as weekend floristry workshops co-hosted by London Flower School and Lisa King.
