my hope is that this post really gets your creative juices flowing on a monday morning, because wow — mine are just over-flowing! i kept hearing quite a lot of buzz around , a pink hacienda high in the hills above L.A., and the very dreamy home of richard christiansen who to me is a true visionary. having grown up on an Australian farm, he’s created not only the most enviable and stylish abode but a fabulous and very personal brand from the gorgeous orchard and gardens surrounding his home. meet , products and fresh produce all produced using regenerative practices that nurture the ecosystem which means that all of the farmers and craft people they work with are all caring for the earth as farmers, herbalists, soap makers, beekeepers, and harvesters. was built in the early 1940s by a determined pair of young entrepreneurs who arrived in California to realize their vision of an earthly paradise high atop the hills of Los Angeles, hidden by a lush orchard and dense gardens, the flamingo-pink estate became a hedonistic enclave; a haven for creativity and collaboration in the City of Angels. Now, in the spirit of its origins, continues cultivating pleasure from the garden. and you can shop their harvest with , , wine, and an abundance of like honey, olive oils, and chocolate. i have such admiration and serious envy for the life has created, i’m determined to create something similar for myself on a much smaller scale. i hope you’ll be as inspired as i am. you’ll probably want to move in with me, as well. oh, and for even more inspiration.
