i felt inspired at first sight with this week’s instagram worthy account, @soiltostudio and briefly brought them to your attention in last week’s friday finds. but i needed to do a deeper dive to share more of textile company Soil to Studio’s beautiful home goods — like pillows, throws, table linens, drapery curtains, and even scarves. Inspired by nature and botanicals, @soiltostudio’s prints and palettes are handmade by craftspeople in rural India. Soil to Studio is a Brooklyn-based textile design studio that loves creating slow textiles that add warmth, softness and bring an eclectic, and very bohemian luxury to our homes. Textiles that are handwoven on traditional looms using natural fibers so our homes can feel as close to nature as possible with everything made by hand; the old-fashioned way. their mission, following fair trade practices, is to empower the families behind these textile goods, preserve local craftsmanship and continue to create sustainable livelihoods for them — as their artisans set their own wages. so not only are @soiltostudio’s most desirable, you can feel good about having their inspiring and quite beautiful products in your homes, too.
