A leading service provider in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe with businesses in data centres and subsea cable systems, Keppel T&T has long embraced digitalisation and innovation to stay ahead of the curve. With the planning of its new office and a hybrid work model in place post pandemic, the company wanted to build on this foundation and create an office space that would enable its employees to be more agile, productive and connected.
Smaller Space, Bigger Value
With work-from-home and hybrid work arrangements as a norm, the new office may be smaller but the space works harder, with a variety of dynamic work settings that caters to the modern needs of the business.Central to the design is a flexible front-of-house that can be used in many configurations, a series of spaces for the community to gather, that would also function as breakout and touchdown areas. Here, a meeting room with operable walls allows the space to be fully extended for large events or closed off for privacy.
Invitation to Connect
The design also bolsters collaboration and connection with the use of materials, finishes and furniture that create a vibrant and welcoming environment. An impactful signage wall at the entryway allows visitors to spot the office from afar, where fluid timber patterns are juxtaposed with greenery panels featuring moss designs in relief. Sustainability and comfort are key considerations in the design, with the use of materials that improve indoor air quality and acoustics. Workstations are arranged in an open-plan layout that balances privacy with connectivity, with low-height partitions to allow for maximised natural light and window views.
