LimX Dynamics is a rising star and an emerging leader in the robotics technology industry. This project is to design office and research spaces that align with the company’s rapid growth and evolving identity, as well as to provide a multi-functional exhibition space for showcasing its latest inventions. The new space includes 1,500 square meters of open-plan office, supplemented by meeting rooms of varying sizes, research labs, tea rooms, showers, and other amenities. These additions support the company’s expansion by leveraging spatial diversity and flexibility.
Two main entrances—north and south—are accessible from the elevator lobby. The southern entrance leads directly to the exhibition and demonstration area, primarily designed for visitors, holding receptions and educational events. The northern entrance is designated for employees and daily operations.
The design of the entrance space incorporates the company’s logo, transitioning from a two-dimensional to a three-dimensional form, reflecting LimX’s ethos of transcending boundaries. Folding glass doors are used to create spatial flexibility that could accommodate exhibition, reception, meeting, and demonstration uses. The design integrates elements representing LimX’s high-performance joints, exoskeletons, and sensors. The flooring pattern mimics the form of an outdoor landscape, which echo with the environment that LimX’s products are designed for.
The overall office layout is an open-plan space mixing with small and medium-sized meeting zones. These zones serve as buffer areas and provide soft divisions between departments. It balances the need for privacy, while providing opportunities for interdepartmental communication. Circulation path is arranged along the perimeter of the central core, minimizing the footprint and optimizing the space use. Playful design elements such as the “telephone booths” create a contrast with the minimalist and modern office environment. These phone booths provide a unique spatial experience for employees when working inside.
Overall, this project tries to achieve the balance between functionality and innovation, addressing the company’s spatial needs for growth and using spaces to reflects its new corporate identity and vision.
