Due to their growing UK presence, lighting controls and window treatments manufacturer Lutron required a larger office space in London that would act as their hub for the UK, Continental Europe, and Africa. The relocation posed an opportunity to develop their facilities and provide an inspiring working environment for their staff, creating a modern workplace that truly lives up to the Lutron brand and accurately reflects their real estate standards. The new workspace integrates their lighting control and automated blind solutions, Grade A people-centric design, and efficient workspaces to seamlessly blend the company’s functions within their office space.

Lutron’s new office is designed to enhance the employee experience and encourage in-person employee collaboration. The style of Lutron’s showrooms is infused into the space to make the workplace special and leave a high-end impression that is more reflective of their brand ethos. Functional workstations and flexible meeting rooms are paired with homely welcome areas and breakout spaces with a resimercial approach to office design that makes use of soft seating, decorative displays, and quality finishes to maximise comfort for staff during breaks.

While their previous space was lacking breakout areas, Lutron’s workspace now offers large social spaces with a variety of seating settings and a teapoint that can be used for events, helping to create opportunities for socialising amongst their team. A wellness room was added to the space, which can be used for relaxation, prayer, or a mothers’ room. These improvements demonstrate Lutron’s continued investment in their people and workplaces, offering the necessary amenities to encourage collaboration, care for the team’s wellbeing, and help serve their clients better.

The Lutron office is designed to embody their brand and ethos. Oktra worked in collaboration with the client’s marketing team to ensure the branding matches that in their global offices, sourcing their logo manifestations from the US to ensure the same materials and sizes were applied to their London space. Lutron’s own lighting and window treatment control systems were also introduced in the space to showcase their energy-saving products while allowing staff to enjoy the benefits of dynamic lighting as their clients would. The result is a consistently branded space that builds on their vision for a high-quality workspace that supports their team and their customers.

By offering an inspiring work environment that fosters innovation while maximising the wellbeing and comfort of staff, Lutron has provided a workspace that their team can take pride in and thrive in.
