minimalist home decor with light and airy textiles. / sfgirlbybay

i’m in one of those moods again. the kind of mood where i feel like i just have way too much stuff. it’s time to clear the clutter and go a little bit more minimal around here. i always feel this way when i return from staying abroad, where minimal design seems to be more the norm than say loads of collectibles like i seem to have going on right now. i love the calm, open feeling of these spaces, decorating with just the things that really mean something to you and removing unnecessary items that aren’t sparking joy (as they say). i also lean towards a kind of wabi-sabi effect where it’s imperfectly beautiful. i think collections of beautiful handmade ceramics, unique lighting and artwork that really speaks to me is the wave of my future.
