i love a little mustard yellow in my decor mix — in fact, i happen to own one single mustard yellow velvet pillow which is thrown into a load of white pillows on my living room sofa.  i’m not even sure why, except that it just spoke to me and i carried it all the way home from le monde sauvage in paris. i think of mustard as a très chic shade and it also blends well with so many other colors,  that a pop of it here and there goes a long way to styling up your decor. whether it’s a pillow, a solid wall, some rich, velvet draperies or a piece of art, bring on the mustard, please.
