there’s nothing much basic about this mountain cottage designed by kate and ben towill of . tucked away up in cashiers, north Carolina, on a high plateau in The Heart Of The , it’s the ultimate cozy ‘getaway from it all’ kind of place. they’ve designed it with an english cottage vibe in mind with loads of vintage artwork and home furnishings, but i love the unique, modern touches, too — like those Marcel Breuer Mid-Century Modern steel dining chairs upholstered in mustard yellow and that beautiful plush velvet sofa — it’s always so much more fun to pair unexpected pieces together. for the full tour, visit and visit their ‘behind the scenes’ as well!
