The moon is associated with light so of course it’s a common source of inspiration for products connected to illumination. We’ve seen light fixtures, chandeliers, lamps, and other related products that have moon-related designs. Leather however is not normally used as material for light-related items. But when it comes to creatives, there can always be a way to combine a moon inspired design with the leather material to come up with an inspired design for a common, every day item.

Five, in collaboration with Poltrona Frau. This isn’t just a source of illumination but also a poetic interpretation of the moon’s ethereal beauty, designed to infuse any space with a serene and imaginative ambiance.
Six N. Five, the moniker of Argentinian digital artist and designer Ezequiel Pini’s studio, is renowned for its pioneering use of 3D artistry, exploring themes of nature and light with a distinctive surreal touch. This design philosophy is vividly embodied in the Moonbeam lamp, which redefines the concept of a lunar eclipse in a truly unique way.
The lamp features a striking composition: a rectangular brass base supports a disc elegantly covered in luxurious Pelle Frau® leather, available in a range of sophisticated colors. This leather disc partially overlaps a larger luminous circle crafted from frosted glass. The resulting interplay of materials and forms creates a slender crescent of light, suspended as if caught mid-eclipse. This visual effect evokes a powerful emotional response, reminiscent of a gentle moon sliver casting its soft glow.
