Nuix needed a workplace that actually felt like them. One of Australia’s leading tech companies, they produce investigative analytics software that uncovers truth in massive datasets. The brief was specific: something instantly recognisable, uniquely Nuix, explainable in a single sentence. It had to feel significant without being serious, with no tech clichés.
The concept Truth in Noise became the answer, a spatial expression of extracting clarity from complexity. The site spanned two floors with no vertical connection beyond the building’s lifts, so we punched a void and added a feature stair to force movement between levels. Clients enter on Level 29, but all client-facing spaces sit on Level 30. You have to climb the stairs and experience the energy. The lower level is deliberately dense with layered forms and darker tones. Moving upward, the space lightens and resolves, guiding you from chaos to clarity.
Nuix’s identity is embedded through restraint. The Nuix “X” recurs as ceiling detail, joinery, translucent screens and lighting above the boardroom table. The Nuix Blue is used decisively against a near-monochrome palette of whites, greys and browns, marking transitions and signalling where the work happens.
The result passes the fifteen-second test. Any team member, from sales to engineering, can read the story and tell it, building shared confidence in the business and its culture.
