The OpenPayd office in Sofia was conceived as a contemporary workplace that balances efficiency, flexibility, and comfort, reflecting the company’s dynamic role in the global payments ecosystem. Designed to support both focused individual work and collaborative interaction, the space translates OpenPayd’s brand values into a clear, functional, and welcoming interior environment.

The layout is organized around a variety of work settings, allowing employees to choose how and where they work throughout the day. Open-plan desk areas provide a structured and efficient environment for daily tasks, while enclosed meeting rooms and acoustic booths support privacy, concentration, and confidential discussions. Informal lounge zones and soft seating areas are strategically positioned to encourage spontaneous meetings and social interaction, contributing to a more fluid and human-centered workplace experience.

Material selection plays a key role in shaping the identity of the space. Warm wood finishes are combined with neutral surfaces and soft textiles to create a calm, balanced atmosphere. Accents in blue and yellow subtly reference the company’s visual identity, adding character without overwhelming the interior. Upholstered elements, carpets, and acoustic wall panels improve comfort and sound control, ensuring a pleasant working environment even in high-traffic areas.

Lighting was carefully designed to enhance both functionality and mood. Linear luminaires provide consistent illumination across workstations, while decorative pendant lights and circular fixtures introduce a softer, more relaxed ambience in meeting and lounge areas. Exposed ceilings and visible technical installations reinforce the contemporary, honest expression of the space, while still maintaining visual order through careful coordination and detailing.

Custom-built furniture and integrated storage solutions were developed to optimize space usage and maintain a clean, uncluttered aesthetic. Lockers and built-in cabinetry are seamlessly incorporated into the architecture, supporting everyday needs while preserving the overall visual clarity of the office.

The result is a workplace that reflects OpenPayd’s forward-thinking culture—professional yet approachable, structured yet flexible. By combining thoughtful spatial planning, refined materiality, and a strong focus on user comfort, the Sofia office offers an environment that supports productivity, collaboration, and well-being, while reinforcing the company’s identity within a modern, international context.
