Bean Buro has completed a bespoke workplace design for Palatino Hospitality, an esteemed luxury products brand. The brief called for an environment that reflects Palatino’s high-end market presence while offering a sanctuary for creativity and well-being for its employees—merging hospitality and retail qualities into a seamless, inviting workspace that inspires both staff and visitors.
Inspired by the beauty of nature and the world of Palatino, the design blends hospitality and luxury. A warm, earthy colour palette of browns, nudes, and beiges sets a cosy, inviting tone. Carefully selected materials—textured paint, wood, and brass—add warmth and sophistication, complemented by timber and lush greenery. Tasteful accessories contribute to an overall sense of refined elegance, while the use of sustainable materials showcases Bean Buro’s commitment to the environment and human health.
The design process began by incorporating biophilic principles, emphasising natural elements to harness nature’s profound impact on physical and mental well-being. Graceful arches throughout the office add softness and elegance, creating seamless spatial flow. This approach fosters a deep connection with nature, promoting calm and vitality.
The office layout encourages both collaboration and individual focus. Open workspaces are complemented by meeting rooms and phone booths, providing versatile environments for different professional needs. Planters and storage units create structure and depth, evoking a “tropical forest” atmosphere. Hidden working corners nestled amidst greenery offer privacy within an open, airy setting. A social pantry serves as a vibrant gathering space, featuring a Terrazzo dining table and diner booths by the windows, creating an inviting and sociable environment.
Thoughtful lighting enhances well-being and productivity. Natural light fills the workspace, creating a soft, pleasant ambience. Artificial lighting and warm LEDs complement natural light, reducing eye strain and ensuring a harmonious environment. Acoustic considerations—including sound-absorbing materials and strategic layouts—create a peaceful space conducive to concentration and creativity.
Palatino’s new workplace combines luxury, comfort, and nature to nurture creativity and well-being. Through close collaboration with the client, Bean Buro has designed a sanctuary where employees can thrive in a space that aligns with Palatino’s brand ethos.
