The office space for PayTR, located within the IzQ Innovation Center, is conceived as a forward-thinking headquarters that embodies both functionality and innovation for a company specializing in virtual payment systems. The design takes full advantage of the building’s form and location, with the land-facing portion dedicated to management offices, arranged in two distinct sections. Meanwhile, the sea-facing side is articulated as a flexible, open-plan workspace, accommodating diverse teams in a collaborative environment.
At the core of the design is the concept of fostering a culture of collaboration, which is reflected in the careful placement of communal focal points along the sea-facing side. Spaces such as the amphitheater, sea-view seating, quiet cabins, and brainstorming zones are strategically integrated to facilitate spontaneous interactions and collective thinking. These areas are not merely functional but are designed to elevate the concept of ‘togetherness’ by offering a variety of spatial experiences that cater to both individual focus and group collaboration.
The spatial organization is marked by a clear differentiation of programmatic zones, achieved through the use of distinct geometries, materials, and color palettes. As one enters from the seaside, the design employs curvilinear forms to delineate and guide movement through the space, creating a seamless flow between different functional areas.
Materiality and texture are central to the design. A refined shade of deep blue serves both as a signature color for the communal zones but also as a visual anchor that ties the entire space to PayTR’s corporate identity. The interplay of material, ranging from soft textures in the seating areas to tactile finishes in workstations, adds layers of depth and richness to the space, creating a dynamic, yet cohesive atmosphere. The PayTR Izmir office not only responds to the needs of its users but also embodies the spirit of innovation and collaboration.
