Six decades after the foundation of Pedrali, the Pedrali Pavilion stands as a testament to the company’s enduring legacy. Pedrali’s story is one of family; of two generations united with a vision of exquisite furniture and beautiful spaces.

This 60-years milestone is far from the finish line for Pedrali, who lead the industry in providing high-quality, timeless furniture 100% Made in Italy which responds to the progression and challenges of the future.

“Starting from our roots and following the teachings of our father Mario, we continue to build the history of Pedrali, drawing on the collaborative spirit of all our employees – who have always believed in the company and are committed to achieving common goals, day after day,” say the company’s CEOs, Monica and Giuseppe Pedrali. “We wish to thank Luca Molinari Studio, AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi for having helped us to make this journey even more special”.

The Pedrali Pavilion was designed for the joyous occasion and now is part of the Pedrali’s Headquarters in Mornico al Serio (Bergamo), nestled amongst the heartbeat of all Pedrali’s operations. It extends its welcome not only to those who have shaped Pedrali’s history but also to the generations yet to come.

“The Pavilion is like a large roof that stands on its own two legs, approachable via a staircase that is also a grandstand where people, visitors, spectators can stay together,” explains the architect, Michele De Lucchi, founder of AMDL CIRCLE.

“In this mobile and movable exhibition space, shows and events can be staged, which tell the story of the existence of a company, a community of people building together something that deserves to be built, distributed, sold, told, combining together the destinies of many individuals.”

Within the Pavilion’s walls lies the ‘Pedrali60, we design a better future’ exhibition, curated by Luca Molinari Studio – a captivating narrative open to collaborators, architects, schools, customers, and citizens alike from now until late October.

“The exhibition offers a critical re-interpretation of an important element of Italy’s design scene, and a look to the future drawing on Pedrali’s strong entrepreneurial and innovativedrive. Community, research, experimentation, sustainability, widespread quality, strong ties with the territory, and a two-way dialogue with designers are just some of the elements that characterise the exhibition and its paths,” says exhibition curator Luca Molinari.

The exhibition unfurls through wooden panels, telling Pedrali’s 60-years story through voices, prototypes, graphic designs, catalogues, and projects. Physical objects and digital displays create a rich tapestry which celebrates Pedrali’s heritage and future. Pedrali’s commitment to sustainability is delightfully undeniable here, with recycled materials and environmentally conscious practices at the forefront.

Coinciding with Bergamo and Brescia being named Italian Capital of Culture 2023, this year casts a spotlight on Pedrali’s business culture. It underscores the values shared between Pedrali and the celebrated Lombardy cities—entrepreneurship, know-how, and dedicated local investment. Pedrali’s company culture, firmly anchored in creativity, quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility, has been a guiding star in design since 1963.

Pedrali’s legacy is not just about crafting beautiful furniture but also about preserving the environment and passing on traditions to future generations. The Pedrali Pavilion stands as a triumphant acknowledgment of the significance of Pedrali’s journey and the collaborative efforts that have made it extraordinary.
