i love a good collage, and i also love making them, but i haven’t had at it in a good long while. and mine were never quite as good as the artists featured in this week’s picture this. there are so many different mediums to work with in collage and i love the unexpected eye these artists take on in their own works of art. whether is clipping collage pieces from old magazine and eupherma to swiping an old image with a bit of paint, i just love the clever juxdapostion artists like leigh wells, danielle krysa (whose captions are as amazing as her collages) and bri gawkoski come of up with. one of my instagram favorites these days is artist martha Haversham (aka @smallditch) who creates the most brilliant collages from ‘found’ art like leaves, and even old cigarette butts. just genius. have a look at a few of my favorite collages.
