Gehri thoughtfully used color and material at the Raiffeisen offices to separate the client and employee experience for their new location in Sissach, Switzerland.

How is an experience for customers and employees designed? One possible answer is shown by the latest project of Raiffeisen Sissach with its flowing interior design. As you walk through the bank, the wooden surfaces change to a shade of green, similar to a walk in the region of Oberbaselbiet between the wooded hills — an environment in permanent change.

About the design: The tagline #Lieblingsbank (favourite bank) — the result of a survey with customers and employees — serves as a brand presentation and links physical sales with the bank’s digital communication channels.

The materials are used to create a regional reference to the region Oberbaselbiet, close to the Jura chain. The Jura limestone, the oak and the natural textiles create a pleasant and homely atmosphere.

The renovation work results in a completely new spatial organisation: starting with a new bank entrance, which is now separate from the general building entrance, and ending with increased transparency thanks to additional windows. The entire building services were renewed and adapted to the changed needs.

The open floor plan makes it possible to experience the bank in a differentiated way: the further you move into the bank, the greater the discretion. The employees are permanently present for the clients — for discreet work or discussions there are focus rooms, meeting rooms and a generous multifunctional room available to clients and employees.
