A couple of months ago I attended a styled event at Sunset Magazine’s gorgeous Test Gardens located at Cornerstone Sonoma in Northern California’s wine region. It was an opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes of a photoshoot for a Fall 2018 issue. I was beyond amazed by the beautiful settings, the great number of staff and talent to pull off this shoot and by the sheer fact that many magazine features are prepared this far in advance. It was stunning and I’m excited to give you a sneak peek of what’s to come in print this Autumn.
The upcoming issue of Sunset will feature textiles by Los Angeles-based designer Heather Taylor. Her line includes all the napkins, runners and tablecloths shown in these pictures, as well as other home textiles and goods on her site.
Other notable talent that contributed to Sunset’s feature include Bianca Sotelo who styled the shoot, The Cheese School of San Francisco who provided all the cheese boards and other nibbles, and Duke’s of Healdsburg who crafted a few special cocktails for the occasion.
The event was attended by other fellow Bay Area blogger friends and we left with happy bellies and plenty of ideas for re-creating this magic in order to host our own gatherings at home. We’re excited for all of this to debut this Fall in Sunset.
