a little bit of cuba and miami just landed in san francisco’s mission neighborhood. introducing media noche, a lovely new fast-casual dining spot offering counter-service cuban food, including warm cubanos, hearty rice and bean bowls, ensaladas and snacks like plaintain chips and ceviche.
brought to you by madelyn markoe and jessie barker (both hailing from tres, as well as other popular city spots like tacolicious, nopa and boxing room), media noche packs in plenty of tasty bites and so much style. the space was designed by hannah collins and includes mural art by local street artist fnnch.
from floor to ceiling, there are gorgeous details throughout. be sure to visit the loo—even if you don’t have to. it’s literally bananas in there.
and save room for a moon bar at the end. these are filled with either guava cheesecake or cafe con leche ice cream. they are super delicious.
media noche is open wednesday through moday from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM. they are closed on tuesdays.
